Carl Walker started Carl’s Garbage Service in 1979 from scratch with nothing but a $75 used Chevy pick up truck, the support of his wife, Paulette, and faith.

He built his first route by going door to door and informing the community of the service he was offering, all while working a full-time job.

After 43 years of hard work, sleepless nights, and acquisitions, Carl’s Garbage Service is one of the largest locally owned and operated residential trash disposal companies in Blount County.
